SEM2/2012: Week 14

this week is the final week..
my presentation is on THURSDAY (8/11/2012)
the venue at the GEMILANG HALL
the time is 9.00 am until evening

SEM 2/2012:Week 12

finally i found the coding for the second order low pass filter
alhamdulillah..

from my research..
second order low pass filter attenuates higher frequency more steeply
the bode plot for this filter is resemble from the 1st order low pass filter except that it fall more quickly
this filter also can reduce the signal amplitude to one fourth

SEM 2/2012 : Week 8

after raya..
the focus to fyp is continued....

this week i need to do a research about the 1st order low pass filter..
the info that i found in the internet..
low pass filter 1st order is a filter that reduced the amplitude signal by half..

so for the second filter i need to find the filter that can reduced the signal amplitude more than half

all the command that i found is in the analogue signal
my project is focusing in the digital signal

the report is still in progress
i cannot continue my introduction because i still can chosen what type of filter i want to used to compare with the low pass filter

Assalamualaikum..
the type of filter I'm going to use are :

LOW PASS FILTER
          The explanation for this I'm already explain before... this is the first filter I'm going to implement in my  project.
for this filter i need to search the command for the digital filter. 
because my project is to capture the digital signal
most of the command i found is in the analogue signal

this week i still searching the other filter i want to used to compare with the low pass filter
i want the second filter is make a big different between these two filter

SEM 2/2012 : Week 3

REPORT PROGRESS


While the project is running I need to do a report to show the flow process of the project from the beginning.
The report has to do along with the project to reduce the workload and avoid the last minute report..

The report is done in 30% which is introduction, literature review and objectives of my projects..this report should give the focus because all the data and informations should record and write in the report..

BUT not forgetting I must give the extra focus to the filter and to design the program because it is the main character in this projects..

SEM 2/2012 : Week 2 (Summary)

The program must be correct to filtered noise or unwanted signal. The program must be design properly to catch the input or audio from the microphone. before the signal is going to store in the memory these signal will process to eliminate the noise..this program is design to make the pure signal which is the signals without noise or distortions. 

Before the design the program..we have to collects all the informations about the speech example human frequency, what is digital filter, what type of digital filter, the functions of filter. after that we can select the best filter to used. 

Once the signal is filtered using the program that we design, the signal will store in memory. The command must be correct. The problem is I still cannot get the right program for the other filter..and I still searching the command to save the good signal and playback the signal..

SEM 2/2012 : Week 1

Digital filter is a numerical procedure or algorithms that transforms a given sequence of number into a second sequence that has some desirable properties. In electronics and mathematics digital filter is a system that performs mathematical operations on a sample, discrete-time signal to reduce certain aspects of that signal.

There is two functions of filter : 

  1. Separation of signal that have been combined
  2. restoration of signal that have been distorted in some way
For my project I heve choose to use two or more filter to make comparison between these filter. The first filter I choose is LOW PASS FILTER

LOW PASS FILTER is a electronics filter that passes low-frequencies signal but attenuates or reduce the amplitude of signals with the frequencies higher than the cutoff frequency.

For another filter I not decide yet what type of filter I want to used because I need to find the suitable filter to running with my Matlab.

Week 5

this week..make research about FPGA.
FPGA stand for Field Programmable Gate Array. FPGA is an integrated circuit designed to be configured by the customer or designer after manufacturing—hence "field-programmable". The FPGA configuration is generally specified using a hardware description language (HDL), similar to that used for an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) (circuit diagrams were previously used to specify the configuration, as they were for ASICs, but this is increasingly rare). FPGAs can be used to implement any logical function that an ASIC could perform. FPGAs contain programmable logic components called "logic blocks", and a hierarchy of reconfigurable interconnects that allow the blocks to be "wired together"—somewhat like many (changeable) logic gates that can be inter-wired in (many) different configurations.
